Các bạn hãy tham khảo các bước làm dưới đây:

Bước 1 – Đọc trước câu hỏi và từ khóa

Trước khi bắt đầu nghe, các em nhìn nhanh câu hỏi và gạch chân từ khóa:

• Thông tin chính: thời gian, địa điểm, người nói, hành động

• Từ khóa quan trọng: tên người, số liệu, thời gian, nghề nghiệp, cảm xúc

Bước 2 – Tập trung nghe ý chính

Vì đoạn hội thoại rất ngắn, các em cần:

• Lắng nghe ý chính, không cần nghe từng từ.

• Chú ý đến từ khóa đã đọc trước.

• Không cần hiểu toàn bộ – chỉ cần nắm được câu trả lời cho câu hỏi.

Bước 3 – Kỹ năng loại trừ

Nếu không nghe rõ, hãy:

• Loại trừ những đáp án sai rõ ràng.

• Dựa vào tình huống và logic để chọn đáp án khả thi nhất.

Bước 4 – Ghi nhớ mẹo nhỏ

• Nếu câu hỏi hỏi về thời gian, địa điểm, lý do, người nói thường sẽ nhắc rất rõ.

• Nếu là về cảm xúc hoặc thái độ, hãy chú ý vào giọng nói và từ vựng mang sắc thái.

Áp dụng các bước trên bây giờ chúng ta sẽ giải từng câu trong bộ đề vừa rồi:

• Question 1: Câu hỏi hỏi giờ họp bắt đầu. Người phụ nữ nói: "It's been moved to 9:30". Người đàn ông nói 9:00 chỉ là suy đoán sai. Đáp án đúng là B. 9:30

• Question 2: Từ khóa: book, aisle 3 "Aisle" thường dùng trong nhà sách hoặc siêu thị Thư viện không dùng từ này. Người phụ nữ giúp tìm sách không giống trường học hay văn phòng, như vậy đáp án đúng là B. In a bookstore

• Question 3: Người phụ nữ nói rõ: "going hiking" đây là thông tin chính như vậy đáp án đúng là D. Go hiking

• Question 4: Từ khóa: I can't find my wallet Người đàn ông mất ví, nên buồn như vậy đáp án đúng: C. He lost his wallet.

• Question 5: Từ khóa: rain in the afternoon đây là thông tin chính xác, không có bẫy. Như vậy đáp án đúng: C. Rainy.

• Question 6: Người phụ nữ nói: I teach English - nghề nghiệp là giáo viên, vậy đáp án đúng: C. Teacher

• Question 7: Người đàn ông nói rõ: I forgot my ticket đáp án đúng là D. His ticket

Câu 1: Giải thích: Khi nghe đoạn hội thoại, em sẽ nghe thấy người đàn ông nói rất rõ: "They’re going to let employees work from home two days a week." Đây là ý chính, là chính sách mới. Trong Part 2, các bạn hãy nghe kỹ ý chính của đoạn hội thoại, thường nằm ở câu đầu hoặc câu cuối. Ở đây, ý chính được nhắc ngay từ đầu dễ bắt được.
